To avoid disappointment & a cold puppy, order a coat that will fit your dog & that he will be happy & proud to wear. If his coat does not fit properly, he will not be comfortable. This is the #1 reason pet owners say that their dog does not like to wear a coat. If the coat fits properly, your dog will delight in his new duds! Measure your dog from where his collar sits to the base of his tail (where it joins the body) in a straight line,along his back,in inches,using a cloth tapemeasure. If you do not have a tapemeasure,use a string or ribbon to measure your dog,then get the measurement length by placing the string/ribbon against a yardstick, ruler or carpenter’s measuring tape. Measure twice. The dog should be standing. Have someone hold his head so that he does not twist & turn to see what you are up to.

PLEASE NOTE:There are as many canine shapes & sizes as there are dogs. There can also be quite a variation within a breed. Not every style will fit every dog.

Specifically,
• The Snowsuit will likely not fit a very robust dog, such as a miniature Schnauzer (fits puppies, but not adults) or a hefty Golden Retriever. However,this type of dogbody will usually fit well into the Polartec Fleece Jogger which is the same style,but fits bigger. With both styles,legholes must be in the right location, which is why we use a back length measurement. Bigger or smaller sizes will have a greater or lesser length between the front & back legs. The coat will not fit unless the coat legs are aligned to the dogs’ legs. If the coat legs are too long,they can be rolled up or shortened. This is a simple alteration...just like having your own pant legs shortened.

•Terriers are not comfortable in the Snap Coat, which is specifically designed for Toy Poodles,Jack Russels & other fine-boned dogs that can walk out of the neck of the Belted Coat which IS designed for terriers & also fits larger dogs,such as the Standard Poodle.

RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY -- If the coat doesn't fit, please contact us first by e-mail so that we can do our best to exchange it for one that does, and to make appropriate shipping arrangments for the exchange. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days to return undamaged products for a full refund (less shipping charges). There is a conditional 15% restocking fee.

Please contact us before sending back merchandise, so that we can make appropriate shipping arrangements. Goods shipped from other countries MUST be properly marked for customs or else they may be held at Customs & we will not receive them.

Most returns are due to guessing at the size. Please take the time to measure. Make sure that your dog is standing while you measure his back from collar to tail. We recommend measuring twice! If you do return a coat, please clean any dog hair from it. If you return a coat in new condition (absolutely no dog hair on it), hangtags attached & not chewed up, and with the coat properly folded for shipping, we will waive our 15% restocking fee. If the coat has doggie smells, stains, hair, or if it arrives badly wrinkled from being scrunched into a package rather than folded, we will donate the item to rescue for you. Sorry, no refunds for items we can't restock.
